About
Village Planet Group (VPG) is an innovative collaborative of planning, design and engineering professionals who offer regenerative design services. VPG collaborators include architects, designers, environmental planners, landscape architects, building scientists, engineers and others who are committed to finding comprehensive regenerative solutions. These solutions are derived from a Co-Design Process that produces a thorough understanding of a project’s social, economic, technical, and environmental issues. In every project, teams of inspired collaborators come together with clients to create and integrate innovative technologies, high performance building systems, regenerative ecosystems and landscapes, vibrant neighbourhoods and villages. Clients become part of the collaborative team to design a better way.
A Better Way
VPG’s main goal is to facilitate an ecologically regenerative and abundant lifestyle in the face of emerging environmental challenges of climate change. Imagine using energy from the Sun, our food from the organic earth, our shelters built from locally sourced earth and forest based materials, our health from pure air, water and food, our happiness from close by family and our social connections at a village scale. In essence, we strive to help our clients make informed, environmentally sound and economically prudent decisions that will have positive, long-term implications on our neighbourhoods, our communities, and our planet.
… better way for People and the Planet.
It Starts with Design
Collectively, VPG has extensive experience working on regenerative building design and environmental planning projects in many areas locally and around the world.
For example, VPG’s RegenHouse system is designed to be many times more productive, healthy and ecosystem friendly than conventional buildings. They are designed using the following regenerative design features: high performance building concepts such as advanced building envelop components; renewable, clean energy technologies; rain water collection, filtration and reuse systems; gardens and greenhouses to grow organic food; internet connectivity to allow live/work; prefabrication systems for rapid deployment and affordability; and the wisdom of whole systems design to create regenerative buildings that support an ecologically sustainable lifestyle.
