Christina Lake Solar Aquatics System
The Christina Lake Solar Aquatics System was built to service the community Welcome Centre. The system was designed to treat up to 20 m3 of wastewater per day in anticipation of additional buildings being installed. The first phase of the Welcome Centre was a single building with offices, a restaurant/coffee shop, a museum/art gallery, meeting rooms and a gift shop. The SAS as an “incubator of biodiversity” was a designed to install vertical shelving onto its 20 foot high glass wall to grow bedding plants for a local Village Garden Project on land on the North side of the SAS greenhouse and also to sell organic seedlings in aa annual spring sale.
