The Pinewood Solar Aquatics System was designed and built for a trailer park on Vancouver Island, BC. It serviced 45 trailer homes and grew 10,000 water hyacinth per year for local garden centres and 2000 red osier willows for stream riparian zones per year while cleaning 10,000 m3/year of wastewater to a high level. Other plants harvested from the system were composted and clean water was discharged into an underground septic field.
